The fall Ski Swap and spring (April) Bike/Kayak Swap are Superiorland Ski Club fundraisers for our youth ski programs and equipment closet.   Sellers can make space in the garage and give their equipment opportunities for new adventures.  Buyers find affordable silent sports equipment.

Both sales are open to everyoneMembership is not required either to sell or buy, but members do get early admission to the sales.  In the past, inventory has also included items from our local sports shops.

The 2025 Bike & Kayak Swap is happening Saturday, April 26 at Lakeview Arena in Marquette.  If you’re looking for used (and some new) cycling

and paddling gear – bikes, kayaks, canoes, racks, wheels, paddles and all the related gear this is the best event in the U.P.  We had a large turnout at the 2024 swap as folks shopped for every kind of two (or 3) wheeled or water “silent sport” gear.

The club benefits from a 20% commission charged to the seller for items priced at $499 or less, and a 10% commission for $500 or higher items.

Plan to come out to the 2025 swap for everything and anything summer “silent sport” gear – either to drop off your things to sell or to find something new-to-you.

VERY IMPORTANT:  Buyers pay with cash or checks written to the seller or sellers.  Bring cash or multiple checks if there’s any possibility you may purchase multiple items!  Sellers should bring cash or a check to pay the Club’s commission when they collect their gear and earnings.

If it doesn’t sell, you’ll get it back to play with again.

The 2025 Ski swap will be Saturday November 8 at the Marquette Township Community Room in the Town Hall.   This is the  event Marquette County Nordic skiers come to for pre-loved skis, boots, poles, clothes, tools, racks and more.

Plan to come out to the 2025 swap for everything and anything winter “silent sport” gear – either to drop off your things to sell or to find something new-to-you for snow-season.  Maybe you’ll find something to make your winter outside faster or easier or more fun (perhaps all three!).

Sellers get 80% of the price they set and the club benefits from the 20% commission on sold items.
