Looking for “new to you” (and some truly new) cycling or paddling gear? Ready to let someone else enjoy the things you aren’t using anymore (or make more room in the garage)?
Where: Lakeview Arena (at Fair Avenue and Lakeshore Boulevard just East of the Marquette YMCA)When: Saturday April 20
- Drop-off your used equipment between 9:00 and 10:30 a.m.
- Sale starts at 10:45 for Club members*; non-members can begin shopping at 11:00.
- Sale ends at 12:30 p.m.
- Pick up your money and unsold items between 1:00 and 1:30.
What: road bikes, mountain bikes, kids bikes, tandem bikes, electric bikes, commuter bikes, sea kayaks, sit-on-top kayaks, river kayaks, paddles, spray skirts, wheels, trailers, handlebars, racks, panniers, car-top carriers, cycling clothing, wetsuits and dry suits and and kayak jackets, footwear, other related gear (in case there’s something left off that list!).How it works: Bring your bikes (all kinds), kayaks (all kinds – and canoes too), paddles and parts and tools and clothing and other great water and wheeled gear to the SSC swap on Saturday, April 20. You set your price (we can help if you just don’t know what to ask) and when it sells SSC will get 10% of the sale price for any single item priced at $500 (or more) and 20% of the sale price of items priced at less than $500. Download a seller’s form here to fill out beforehand for a quicker and less stressful drop-off. (No more handwriting worries – this year’s form is fillable on your computer!) Sellers should bring cash or a check to pay the Club’s commission when they collect their gear and earnings.
Shoppers, we’ll have helpful coaches, athletes, bike shop personnel and experienced and knowledgeable parents and Board members there for advice about sizing and other information.
