Middle School Team members will improve technique; develop endurance, fitness and skills; and learn to compete while participating in local races.

Ages: 11-14 (and 10 year olds with Ski Cat or equivalent skills)
Ability: Beginner to Advanced Competitive
When: Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning November 11 through February 2025.
Where: multiple venues
Kick off meeting: 6:00 p.m. October 30, at the Marquette Senior High School Little Theater (with the HS race team).
Price: $150.00 (includes individual SSC membership for the middle school skier)

Rental Equipment is available on a first come first serve basis.
- There is a $75.00 fee for the use of each complete set of equipment (classic and freestyle) for the season. (If you need both classic and skate equipment the cost is $150.00) You will not be charged until equipment is distributed.
The Middle School Program will be led by Coach Chandra Ziegler. Ziegler raced in middle and high school Nordic programs and continued competing as a collegiate skier. She established a cross-country running and skiing program in Crystal Falls before moving to Marquette and joining the middle school team as a volunteer assistant coach. We look forward to using her program administration skills and 16 years of coaching experience.
